So you are broke & can`t afford a $60 carb . Have you checked out your valve tappet gap ,or points air gap ? Other things that can make a bike "run like crap" . I cleaned my carb twice when it was getting hard to start ,ran rough & lacked top speed . Ran like crap. $3 spark plug cap going bad was the cause. There is an ebay auction for a new lafan carb for $ 18.95 buy it now that I just saw. Your carb may or may not be your problem. Don`t give up looking for a solution . I did give up & hauled it to a shop that put on the $3 spark plug cap & $50 for the labor & knowledge of what to fix. Good Luck ! Baby Huey
