Ya. It does but I'm surre the wind cools it down some But as soon as we stop and park the bikes u can feel the heat coming off the right side And I noticed the the chain guard and frame was verry warm aswell. Oh and it shifts just fine. Thro all the gears. And I also just changed the oil also
