36 volts at the battery?!??
you just did test it. you need a rectifier. that or, your battery is dried up.
as well, clean the switch thoroughly.

I have an 82 Passport C70. I am wondering whay migght cause my electrical system to not power the headlamp ( new one ) and turn signals.
How can I test the rectifier and the CDI unit?
