Yeah, I used to take off the leg shield on my blue 1972 C70 and made a lace up leather wrap for covering the stuff around the frame tube. Then off to the mountains! My regular tires worked OK and I went all over the Santa Cruz mountain game trails, hiking trials and horse trails. Had many interesting encounters and adventures.

I believe you can get the same tread design but maybe not in the same size for it to fit those smaller fenders.
