Mark,
I am selling the kits for $24.95 plus $4.95 shipping. It is a plug and play
kit so it is not to technical to install. The kit comes with Honda wire
connectors so you don't need to cut or splice any wires.
I do ask that you perform the following test before ordering:
Turn on the key, put the bike in neutral (green light on speedometer lit
up), unplug green and yellow wire to starter solenoid. The starter solenoid
is mounted just forward of the battery and is a cylindrical shaped device.
You may need to remove the battery to access the wires. Connect one lead of
a 6 volt test light to the green and yellow wire from the harness and the
other lead to the positive terminal of the battery and push the starter
button. If it lights up, then connect the green and yellow wire from the
solenoid to a good frame or engine ground. If engine
cranks, you need this relay. If it does not crank, this relay will not
correct the problem. Installing the relay will help once you have corrected
any other starting system issues.
Here is what the last person I sold a kit to had to say:
"OMG! It worked! I am so impressed with your instructions in the way you
prepared the park. Once you pointing me in the right direction it was very
easy to install the part. Not being a mechanical person, I was a little
proud of myself for being able to fall your instructions. Then I hooked up
the battery again. I tested the pointers. I tested the horn. Once those
were working well and strongly I knew it was the moment of truth. It was
kind of like touching a hot stove I didn't want to do it but I reached out
and hit the starter button into my wondrous years the sound of the starter
cranking over it with more strength in authority than this bike has ever
had. I am own despite since 1981 and the starter has never worked. I am so
excited thank you very much let me know if I can help you in anyway."
