Chad : You do know that the head light should only work with the motor running ? The head light runs on AC power directly from the generator . So if you had a head light & bad battery or poor ground to the battery ,when the motor revs went above idle the head light WILL burn out in seconds . The battery is the only voltage regulation on these bikes. Do you have the correct 6 volt battery with the negative battery cable connected under the head of the bolt that then goes through the battery strap & into the frame. The frame of the bike is the ground for most of the bike. If the battery ground is sandwiched between painted parts it makes a poor ground. Weak horn could be a poor ground at the horn. Hope this is some help . Baby Huey`s 2 cents

Subject: [Honda-C70] Poor Connection?
I have a 81 C70...Recently purchased. I replaced the battery and the only thing that is working are the blinkers. The battery is fully charged...When I bought the bike and it had the bad battery I did get the headlight to come on once....but hasnt since....I am assuming it is a connection issue but am not 100% sure where to start? I am a rookie to working on these but am willing to tackle it. Also when I hit the horn button it makes the slightest noise but that is it....I am assuming they are all related.
