[Honda-C70] Re: I hear a click while accelerating in first and second gear....

I cant agree more with Bill from Portland more, He helped me allot with the restoration of my C70. What your describing sounds perfectly like what happened to me a few weeks ago. Once it starts its not long before your stranded as I was. Caught soon enough its a easy fix. I believe your chain has lost its tension. Its slipping at acceleration. Its hard to catch if you have the stock chain guard on. Be careful not to miss-align your rear wheel when fixing this problem. Loosen the bolt on the axle, adjust the chain tensioners. (Little round washer with a nut & bolt on it.) to get proper tension you may have to remove your chain guard. There is also a wheel alignment procedure that you can use in the messages posted earlier. Try not to over tighten the chain.

Bottom line: I think its a lose chain.
