[Honda-C70] Getting there? Help with "popping, jerky ride"

 

I got the DRATV carb on with new longer bolts. It is a rough ride to say the least. Have looked for air leak, cant find. Question I have is with the needle length. Could this cause the jerking, popping as it happens when I accelerate in that mid range.

I apologize for all the postings, just frustrated. Was running a lot better before I added the gasket to the insulator and tinkered with the needle/slide.
