Re: [Honda-C70] Symba

Yes, I notice that there are a lot more dealers advertising the Symba here in the West  coast. In the San Francisco bay area they're listing them from $1699 all the way up to $1900, plust TDL. In the Los Angeles area it is posted to go even as high as $2100 plus TDL. There was a guy who rode one all the way to south America and back. When he came back, he tried to sell it with an asking price of $2200 with all the additional miles. It was posted on San Jose Craigslist for about seven months with no taker. Finally the post just disappeared. I test rode one in LA and it was nice. I think the quality is better than the Lifan, Fly Scout or any of the other Chinese made Passports. It feels more secure on it. The brakes works really good,  the accellaration is great, and the shifting is pretty smooth with the 4 speed. I just don't know about the dealer support available in the near future. There was a member from this group who I believe started a Symba
group on his own. Somebody on this forum may remember his name.

Subject: [Honda-C70] Symba

Riding my '81 C70 the other day and was stopped by a guy who wanted to
inquire about my Honda. He was from the US west coast and said that he had
ridden a Taiwanese reproduction of the C70 called a Symba. Seems there are
motorcycle dealers Ca, Wa, Or, that have the Symbas in stock.

According to him, they look just like a C70, but with tubular forks instead
of the Honda fork design. 12 volt also instead of 6. He said the price
was a little over $2000. He was an old cycle rider and was very impressed
with the bike when he rode it.

Anyone knowledgeable about this Symba?
