Re: [Honda-C70] Re: Home Oil Filtering made simple (DON'T)

In the 60s, here in a little town north of Atlanta, Ga, there were several independent stations, we called them tank stations since the tanks were mounted up in the air instead of in the ground, that sold bottles of oil.  It was recycled, I suppose.  They were 19 cents a quart.  My Dad had two old Chevy trucks that used almost as much oil as gas and that was his favorite place to fill up.  He would put in 10 gallons of gas and or or two qts of oil and spend less that 4 bucks, including his pack of cigs and a coke for me.

I have run recycled oil in cars in the past, but it was cleaned,
re-refined and blended with new oil.

The car was called "The Blue Flame" because it consumed oil at a
ludicrous rate, and the oil (Liberty Brand) was about $0.50 a can.

You can buy oil today that has 50% recycled content.

I just wouldn't recommend you do it yourself.
