Ok
I went to the paper market here and found two thicknesses of white filter paper of A2 size being sold in bulk packing of about 100 to 200 sheets.
I bought 5 sheets of each thickness and two large plastic funnels as glass funnels were much more costly.
At home I had a few clean, empty 1 liter oil bottles.
One I used to store freshly drained oil (gravity separated some grit), second to collect after filtering through thinner paper and third to collect after filtering from the thicker paper.
Used oil first went through the thinner paper and got collected. The filterate then went through the thicker paper and got collected in another bottle.
It took about two days for 1 liter to complete two filteration steps.
No heating, just letting gravity to do all the work.
If filtering got too slow, I changed that particular filter with a fresh one.
Taking care not to let dust fall on oil or allowing bottles to get mixed up or for oil to bypass the filter somehow if funnel tilts suddenly.
Noone in house to disturb this setup while Im at office.

Ok
My ego has been deflated enough.
Cheapest oil here is about 2 dollars to a liter class SC.
