Subject: [Honda-C70] Maggie and the blue passport fun...
And once again we are working on it, and once again Larry took apart and put together the carb. It came with replaced carb and since I got a kit and Larry took it apart, cleaned it and put it back together while I was at work, I have NO idea what parts are original with that carb and which came out of the kit.
I did swap spark plug ends from the blue bike onto my red one, no problems with red bike so knew it was not that.
So, whatever parts went into the carb this time helped, so it's NOT the coil but 1 problem is exhaust, plugged up there as very little air coming out, huge difference from the red bike to the blue one.
So, exhaust is off, Larry plans to take it apart and I plan to buy NEW and the parts it takes to put it back on. But I might finally get the center stand ON the blue bike.
In the meantime, I needed to do some outside work at my place, now have a retaining wall to keep sand away from utility space doors and a very small area with cement pavers for bike parking. Out of reach of my 80# dog but close, under the security lights on the back of the house and with some grading work, some grass established, it also makes a nice sitting area and will hold both bikes.
Eventually the house will get a cement patio above that area, steps out the back door to that patio but the new bike parking space is an improvement and gives my bikes a safer place.
So, Larry with 3 bikes, still has not put the battery in his 83 Passport, or in the wizzer and it's more than 7 years since his Honda touring bike was out of the garage.
He is allowing me to do more of the working on the blue bike, it's that or I will Walk it home, only 8 blocks and mostly flat. Wish he would get his bike running and wish he would go riding about town with me. Really not willing to trade the man off, might have to find a gal pal who will ride 1 of my bikes so I have someone to ride with once both are running. Maggie in IL
