Are you putting some air in the tubes once you have them inside the tire? that will make them swell a bit and expand away from the rim. also I use Windex as a lube.

i've probably mounted 100+ tubed tires on various motorcycles in the
last 15 years working on bikes. i've maybe popped 10 of those tubes on
the first try, just through carelessness.
My mechanical background is that I come from fixing dirt bikes, and mopeds. Dirt bikes have big heavy tires, but there's a lot of slack in the rim. Mopeds usually have light, non-reinforced tires since they rarely go over 35 mph.
As for my C90, well, i've never had the kind of trouble mounting a tire like i did trying to put the gazelles on my C90 cub rims. i popped them 3 tries in a row. The C90 rims/tires are the same as the C50 and C70 ones.
is there some kind of fancy trick ya'll use to put them on with out popping the tubes?
I wasn't using much lube/baby powder but i think i am going to give it a 2nd go tonight, and i'm wondering if anyone has any other hot tips for me, as I try to do this correctly this time, and not wreck the poor tubes any further.
Thanks
Evan
