I would like to add, sense this bike is new to you, spend some time and check the bike over.
Is the rear chain clean, lubed and adjusted?
No loose bolts? The rear swingarm hinge bolt is found loose on alot of C70's giving a funny sound.
If you need help let me know and I can set some time aside for you .

Is this WHILE you are shifting?
The process of shifting accomplishes two functions in one motion -
operating a manual clutch shifting gears.
As the shift lever is pulled up, the clutch disengages power from the
drivetrain, while at the same time you are changing gear. When the
lever is released, you are letting the clutch grab and restore power
to the rear wheel.
Does that describe what's happening?
If so - that's completely normal. Don't adjust anything.
I suggest reading the Owners Manual we serve up online, and when
you've got the basic idea - if you need more info, read the Shop
Manual for a deeper understanding of the mechanics of this little
beast.
