RE: [Honda-C70] Exhasut parts ordered in central IL

Maggie : There is a file on installing a center stand . The 2 half moon parts seldom need to be replaced unless the flange has gotten so loose that they fell out & got lost. I haven't read the center stand file but if you decide to keep all the fun for your self & cut Larry out . A rope over a tree branch then through the back wheel to hoist the back of the bike might be something to consider. I lifted the handle bars & set the foot peg /motor area on a cinder block ,but it was wobbly. Baby Huey

Subject: [Honda-C70] Exhasut parts ordered in central IL

Since installing the center stand I bought last summer involves removing the muffler I have parts ordered before I talk Larry into helping me with the job.

From DRATV/Beatrice Cycle I have coming 2 half moon flange, sold separately so if you are ordering, be sure to order 2, 1 exhaust donut, should fit more than our Passports and does not change from year to year, and 1 Packing large shield exhaust which should go under that shield and by now should need replaced, my bike is 1981.

I also ordered a magnetic oil plug with washer, my current plug does not have a washer, and I will take that part out shopping for a socket that fits it, I do not own one and see if I can get more washers so I have future gaskets for that oil plug.

And when parts come, I will NOT take them over to Larry's place, instead I will hang on to them until bike and I go over with work planned, know how it works, LOL, and I do not want to hunt for my parts or if he has both parts and bike in reach, have the work done and no idea of what he actually did or if is how I wanted it done.

in the meantime, my truck sits, son Jake's jeep sits and the little bike and I make the trip to work, to library, to run errands and I even hauled home 2 14# bags of dog food last week, those back baskets my bike came with do come in handy now and then.

The bike has probably cost me around $5 in gas so far this season, don't think that will break me. Maggie in central IL
