[Honda-C70] Re: Squirrely sound - coming from instrument panel

AZ-Scott:

Just wanted you to know that I FINALLY finished putting together my new steering head bearings, and so I did oil the speedometer, and guess what? YOU WERE RIGHT!!!

Thanks man. No more squirrels in my headlight!

Using side cutters I was careful to pry the folded over part up just enough to get the chrome ring off, By th folded over part i mean on the back side of the unit where the rubber gasket is. Once that is off you have access to all of the parts that need lube. I did actually use 3in 1 oil and light grease on the gears, Once you are done you just put it all together and bend the edge of the chrome ring back down and all is good. It does leave some small dents on the chrome ring but not bad. All seem to work good after. Or just try the way I told you the other day, that way just does not lube everything.
