Notice that Michelin Gazelles (M62s) are tubeless tires! So they have real sidewalls :) Couple that with cold/cool weather, and you need really strong hands (maybe with heavy gloves) and three good tire irons (spoons) to do it. I don't like putting any water based stuff on the inside edges of the rims as the water will just promote rust through. Especially here in the jungle humidity of central NJ :)
So warm weather or warm tires at least and good tire irons and some technique as given by Bill and others.
