use a nail file ..the wooden board type ..of a fine quality..or 600p wet and dry rapped around an ice lolly stick.
hold the points onto the stick..each point each side ..draw it back and forward a few times
but get new ones if you can
Timing can be done with old analogue radio ..set at FM, if i remember. on a null channel... adjust timing marks to line up when loud crack is heard on radio.
radio must be within inches of the motor ..put aerial against motor .
