Good morning, I have two passports an 81 and 82. the 81 has some electrical issues, I cannot seam to be able to get the lights working when i install a new battery and secondly and more troublesome, someone tried to steal my 81 bike and popped off and disassembled my ignition switch. I tried ordering one straight from the honda dealer however they don't make these parts anymore. I have ordered an after market part but it is apparently taking a slow boat from china, literately, to get here. my question is shouldn't there be a way to close the loop and bypass the key? I tried connecting the wires together and grounding the ground, but that doesn't seam to work. It started fine and ran like a charm, except for the lights, before it was vandalized.
