Ah, a nice happy ending. Using that lock instead of a chain seems like a good plan.

Happy to report that the county sherriff found it ditched in the woods about a mile from where it was taken; apparently the thieves could not drill through the U-Lock around the back tire and gave up and threw it in a ditch -- busted the back side turn signal but all else is well. Glad to have her back.
