Got a brand new 6v battery, keep it on a battery tender for the week ive had it, ride almost daily
With oem relay I had to tap it to make the e start work which is why I got a new battery for the used c70 I purchased
so I ordered new aftermarket 6v relay too
Still have to tap it to work, but if my charger is connected it e starts all the time
Charger makes battery read 7v or higher
After 15 min of riding I can e start maybe 2 times in a row (not riding anywhere) then after that I have to tap the relay
I did this to see how much power I loose on the battery
after 15 min ride voltage around 6.7+
With engine at idle battery is being charged shows around 6.9v
after 2 starts in a row voltage around 6.5 (then I have to tap relay to start)
So my question is since my only other 6v bike is kickstart only is this normal to get a couple e starts without riding it around to charge it back up
maybe im spoiled to 12v bikes
because I figured a 6v relay needed 6v to operate
but im guessing it needs a very high 6v possibly 7v to trigger?
No matter what the battery can push over the starter no problems, my hurdle to get around is the new relay once that clicks fully the starter could care less what the battery voltage is
I had also sanded all battery connectors, checked ground wire
not sure if a weak point is the little glass fuse holders but I pinched them more so the fuse presses together better, I may look into that later today clean that up
